本届年会是山东省饲料行业协会成立以来举办的第四届年会，也是我省饲料行业的盛会，为我省饲料业的发展构建起了创新管理、科技交流、行业展示、经验分享、友谊促进、合作洽谈的交流平台。参会人员层次丰富，囊括了国内外饲料企业、管理部门、检验机构、行业协会以及科研教学等单位的行业人士和专家学者，参会人数一千余人。
会议邀请了中国饲料工业协会、省畜牧兽医局的有关领导出席，并为大会顺利举办致辞。
中国饲料工业协会刘连贵副秘书长在致辞中表示：本届年会主题鲜明、内容丰富，来自省内外专家学者、企业精英，紧扣饲料行业和企业实际，围绕“融合创新转型升级合作共赢”这一主题展开研讨，是一个很好的合作交流平台。希望大家本着开放、包容、创新、互利共赢的精神，在推动供给侧结构性改革，建设饲料强国的征程中，团结一心，凝聚力量，形成共识，不断前进。
山东省畜牧兽医局唐建俊局长在发言中指出：新时代饲料工业的发展，既需要政府部门的规则引导、规范监督、示范推动、协调服务；也需要行业协会组织的的桥梁作用、协调服务、自律诚信、融合推进；更需要饲料企业担当精神、先进组织、创新速度、开拓进度；尤其需要科研教学、社会服务、新闻媒体等各方面社会力量的更多关注、倾心付出和相向而行。相信，只要我们切实担负起各自的责任、不断汇聚起共同推进的强大动力、深入开启饲料工业转型升级的新征程，就一定能够再创我省饲料工业的二度辉煌。
