膨润土的蒙脱石含量

 

膨润土矿多属钙质土,矿床类型多为火山岩型,矿床地质背景属中生代白垩系下统陈棚组,火山岩蚀变产物,与珍珠岩共生,通常为灰白色、浅黄色、粉色等,外观呈贝壳状并有蜡样光泽。膨润土矿以蒙脱石为主,其它伴生杂质矿物主要有方英石、方解石、伊利石、菱铁矿和有机质等。


从膨润土矿类型及矿物生成顺序可知:膨润土矿矿床的火山物与各矿物的形成可归属三期:表生期、成岩期和热液蚀变期。在蚀变过程中表生期主要形成的是侵染状褐铁矿和沿岩石微裂隙充填的铁泥质;成岩期主要形成的是玻璃质、角闪石、斜长石、石英、玻屑、晶屑、岩屑及共生组合为斑晶、基质;热液蚀变期是成矿的主要时期。热液蚀变期主要形成了蒙脱石,其次是硅质、碳酸盐、高岭石、滑石等。


熊慕慕(2007)研究中指出,膨润土的外观颜色与蒙脱石含量间具有很强的相关性,浅黄绿色矿中蒙脱石含量最高、灰白色次之,粉红色最低;但这与本公司的调查研究结果不一致。蒙脱石原矿由于成因不同,导致蒙脱石层间晶格结构中铁离子、钙离子、锰离子、钾离子等金属离子含量的不同,进而导致蒙脱石呈现不同的外观颜色,故蒙脱石的含量与蒙脱石的外观颜色间无相关性。
